Secureframe Leverages CMMC-Focused Cybersecurity Summit to Expand Defense-Sector Reach

Secureframe used the past week to intensify its focus on Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, or CMMC, as a strategic differentiator in the U.S. defense supply chain. Through a series of LinkedIn posts, the company promoted its upcoming National Cybersecurity Summit as a free, virtual forum aimed at defense contractors and federal suppliers.

Multiple summit sessions will address CMMC enclaves for contractors handling controlled unclassified information, clarifying when enclave-based architectures make sense versus certifying entire environments. A “CMMC Enclaves 101” panel on May 11 will feature experts from Microsoft, Sentar Inc., and Redspin, underscoring Secureframe’s efforts to align with established ecosystem partners.

Secureframe is also highlighting prime contractor–driven CMMC timelines, noting that some primes are requiring CMMC Level 2 certification by September 30 despite the formal Phase 2 rollout in November. This messaging frames CMMC not just as a cybersecurity requirement but as a key factor in supplier selection and elimination within the Department of Defense supply chain.

Additional summit programming will demystify the CMMC assessment process, with assessors from Insight Assurance, A-LIGN, and Prescient Security joining Secureframe’s CEO to explain how controls are evaluated in practice. The company emphasizes common gaps between paper-based compliance and real audit performance, positioning its platform around continuous, evidence-backed readiness.

Beyond CMMC, Secureframe is marketing the summit as a broader national-security and cyber-policy event featuring former U.S. defense, NSA, and CISA officials. Planned discussions cover AI-driven cyber operations, modernizing federal cybersecurity, and improving public-private threat intelligence sharing to address sophisticated global threats.

Secureframe has also been active at industry events such as CS5 West, promoting Secureframe Defense and engaging with Cyber AB, Coalfire Federal, Redspin, Exostar, RSM U.S., and IonQ on streamlining compliance. Commentary on Nasdaq TradeTalks further showcased the firm’s views on AI-era risks, including persistent weaknesses in access control and data minimization.

Taken together, these initiatives signal a concentrated push to deepen Secureframe’s role in the defense and highly regulated markets as CMMC requirements crystallize. While no financial metrics were disclosed, the company’s mix of thought leadership, summit-led demand generation, and ecosystem partnerships appears geared toward expanding its pipeline and reinforcing its standing in compliance automation and cybersecurity governance.
