Scout Space has raised up to $18 million in Series A funding, led by Washington Harbour Partners with participation from Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation, Noblis Ventures, Decisive Point, Fusion Fund, and others, to accelerate deployment of its space domain awareness sensors and software. The capital will fund upcoming missions and a new 2,600-square-foot production facility in Northern Virginia, deepening the company’s proximity to key national security and commercial customers.

CEO Josiah Gruber said the investment will help Scout rapidly expand a proliferated in-orbit sensor network that provides real-time detection, tracking, and characterization of space objects through platform-agnostic optical payloads, edge processing, and autonomous software. The company’s strategy centers on modular, non-vertically integrated architectures, positioning Scout as a specialist SDA supplier that can plug into diverse spacecraft and mission profiles, including its work with Blue Origin’s Blue Ring platform and multiple U.S. Space Force TACFI awards advancing GEO sensing and data services.
