SandboxAQ has expanded its AQtive Guard AI Security Posture Management platform with new guardrails and discovery capabilities designed to give enterprises deeper visibility and control over AI systems deployed across their environments. The enhancements target two core use cases—embedded AI in applications and AI tools provided to employees—aiming to reduce risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, and unmanaged autonomous agent behavior.

The latest release adds runtime guardrails that enforce policies on both incoming prompts and outgoing responses, helping prevent unauthorized data exposure in AI-driven workflows while maintaining governance at scale. SandboxAQ has also introduced autonomous risk analysis for Model Context Protocol servers, cloud scanning to uncover shadow AI models and agents, and posture reporting aligned with global regulatory frameworks, such as the EU AI Act.

By consolidating AI governance and security into AQtive Guard, SandboxAQ is positioning itself as a core infrastructure provider for enterprises moving rapidly into agentic AI adoption, a trend that is expected to inflect in 2026 as AI agents become embedded in critical operations. The platform enables organizations to map how AI systems connect to business applications, simulate policy impacts before enforcement, and produce auditable reports for security leadership, regulators, and boards.

General Manager Marc Manzano emphasized that without continuous oversight, AI adoption can expose enterprises to covert attacks and unsanctioned system actions, underscoring the need for enforceable guardrails as AI agents gain broader autonomy. The new capabilities are currently available to select customers, with wider release planned later in 2026, and will be demonstrated at RSA Conference 2026.

For SandboxAQ, these upgrades expand its addressable market beyond cryptographic posture management into broader AI security, strengthening its strategic position at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, and next-generation AI infrastructure. As regulatory pressure around AI intensifies and enterprises seek to standardize AI risk management, adoption of platforms like AQtive Guard could become a prerequisite for scaling AI in regulated and data-sensitive sectors, directly influencing SandboxAQ’s growth trajectory.
