Several high-profile private technology companies are being closely watched ahead of possible initial public offerings (IPO) in 2026. Among them are SpaceX, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Databricks, all of which have drawn significant investor interest in recent months. However, SpaceX’s potential listing may attract more market attention than most companies going public.

Trade AMZN with leverageSpaceX’s Massive Valuation Looms Over IPO Rivals
On Feb. 22, in an X post, Stocktwits cited estimated valuations of $1.25 trillion for SpaceX and $380 billion for Anthropic. Based on those figures, SpaceX’s valuation is significantly higher than Anthropic’s, highlighting the gap between the two companies.
Other reports suggest SpaceX’s valuation could also approach $2 trillion by the time it goes public, underscoring its massive growth potential compared to other pre-IPO companies. The projection follows the rocket company’s merger with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI, which took its value from $1 tillion to $1.25 trillion.
SpaceX’s massive valuation and upcoming IPO position it as a dominant contender in the 2026 listing race, raising concerns about how rivals like Anthropic could keep up.
Anthropic Builds AI Empire
Anthropic, founded in 2021, has received backing from leading public companies such as Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN), and Alphabet (GOOGL), reflecting strong institutional interest. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Krishna Rao said the funding will support Anthropic’s development of enterprise-grade AI products. The company also expects $14 billion in sales over the next year.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has also emphasized the safety of artificial general intelligence (AGI) in AI models. The company also announced a $20 million bipartisan initiative aimed at influencing AI regulation in the U.S.
While Anthropic has expanded its enterprise AI footprint, SpaceX’s xAI integration broadens its appeal beyond aerospace. Unlike Anthropic, SpaceX’s satellite infrastructure and AI give it exposure to multiple high-growth sectors. The growing competition highlights the market’s focus on mega-tech IPOs in 2026.
How to Buy SpaceX IPO?
SpaceX is a private company, meaning only accredited investors can buy its shares before its IPO. Investors seeking exposure to SpaceX can invest directly via venture funds or wait after the company goes public and becomes available on stock exchanges.
