ROBOTERA has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), positioning the Chinese embodied-intelligence specialist as a key partner in UN-led industrial modernization initiatives. Formalized on November 24 in Riyadh, the deal makes ROBOTERA the only Chinese embodied-intelligence company to secure such a partnership at the UNIDO General Conference, potentially expanding its international project pipeline and influence in setting industrial AI and robotics standards. Founder Dr. Jianyu Chen and Co-founder Yue Xi attended the signing alongside UNIDO’s Director of Digital Transformation and AI, underscoring the high-level nature of the alliance and its alignment with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The collaboration centers on three pillars with direct business implications for ROBOTERA: technology deployment, global project collaboration, and ecosystem building. In manufacturing, logistics, and commercial services, ROBOTERA will co-develop and deploy embodied-intelligence solutions with UNIDO to boost operational efficiency, improve working conditions, and reduce technology-adoption barriers for SMEs—opening channels into emerging markets where UNIDO is active. Leveraging UNIDO’s global network, the company will participate in cross-border implementation projects, technical exchanges, and best-practice sharing to accelerate uptake of next-generation robotics across member states. In parallel, ROBOTERA will anchor ecosystem-building efforts at the Beijing Digital Economy Centre of Excellence, which will host joint labs and convene startups, governments, and enterprises in an open-innovation model. Pilot programs are expected to launch soon in regions with urgent industrial-upgrading needs, combining ROBOTERA’s agile R&D with UNIDO’s policy reach; management frames this as both a growth opportunity and a platform to shape embodied intelligence as a trusted “human partner” technology in sustainable industrial development.
