Replit has raised a $400 million Series D round at a $9 billion valuation, sharply increasing its market value from $3 billion in September and underscoring investor conviction in its AI-powered coding platform. The round was led by existing backer Georgian Partners, with participation from G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, Databricks Ventures, and high-profile angels Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto.
The company previously disclosed that it was on pace for $150 million in annualized revenue at the time of its last funding, and it has now told Forbes it is targeting $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by year-end, signaling aggressive growth expectations and a likely acceleration in product monetization and enterprise expansion. Founder and CEO Amjad Masad has framed Replit’s trajectory as the result of nearly a decade of development and a pivotal strategy shift away from professional developers toward non-programmers, a controversial move that now appears validated by its valuation step-up and access to deep-capital backers.
