RELEX Solutions has introduced a new Deal Management capability designed to centralize how retailers and suppliers plan, negotiate, and assess vendor-funded promotions, positioning the company more deeply in the high-value pricing and promotions segment of retail tech. The tool sits within RELEX’s unified retail and supply chain planning platform and merges vendor deal collaboration with promotional planning, creating a single environment for managing annual supplier agreements, investment envelopes, campaign commitments, and tactical promotion details. By replacing spreadsheet- and email-based processes with structured workflows, shared forecasts, and financial transparency, RELEX aims to help retailers improve promotion ROI, margin, and value perception while enabling suppliers to better align funding decisions with expected outcomes.

The launch responds to structural pressures in retail promotions, where about 70% of campaigns are funded by suppliers and consumer trust is strained—RELEX’s own survey shows 84% of shoppers view promotions as misleading and 76% say inconsistent offers erode trust. Deal Management gives both parties a shared system of record that links funding, execution, and performance, and supports end-to-end processes from strategic pricing and promotion planning through campaign execution and post-event analysis. Once onboarded, suppliers can also pay to access RELEX’s embedded analytics and promotional forecasts, creating a potential new monetization stream for RELEX’s retail customers and reinforcing the platform’s role in commercial decision-making. CEO Mikko Kärkkäinen positions the capability as a way to eliminate fragmented data and guesswork from promotions, while industry analysts highlight the improved visibility into how funding translates into performance. Strategically, the move deepens RELEX’s footprint in collaborative retail–supplier planning and strengthens its value proposition as an AI-enabled platform for profitable, data-driven growth across the end-to-end value chain.
