RELEX Solutions has secured a significant expansion of its AI-native retail and supply chain planning platform with Ingram Content Group, extending its technology to support forecasting, capacity optimization, vendor-managed inventory, and assortment planning across six global distribution centers. The deal deepens a relationship that began in 2019 with RELEX forecasting and replenishment in U.S. facilities and was broadened in 2023 to Ingram’s Milton Keynes, U.K., site, positioning RELEX at the core of Ingram’s modernization and automation agenda.
By deploying AI-driven forecasting and capacity optimization on more than 1 million SKUs, RELEX is expected to materially improve Ingram’s ability to anticipate demand spikes, align capacity, and mitigate stockouts during peak seasons such as the holiday period. The platform will enable dynamic inventory adjustment and more granular assortment planning by region and season, enhancing service levels for Ingram’s publisher and retail customers while driving higher planning efficiency. Vendor-managed inventory capabilities will further embed RELEX in Ingram’s customer collaboration processes, increasing switching costs and strengthening the long-term strategic relationship. Implementation services will be supported by InfiniteVIU alongside RELEX, underscoring the complexity and scale of the rollout. RELEX Chief Revenue Officer Frank Lord highlighted Ingram’s multi-year, data-driven transformation as a proof point for the company’s AI capabilities in large, complex supply chains, reinforcing RELEX’s positioning as a strategic partner for global distributors and potentially supporting future growth with other high-volume wholesalers and retailers.
