According to a recent LinkedIn post from Recurrent Energy, the company has reached a new U.K. milestone with the sale of Project Higher Witheven, a 42.5 MWp standalone solar asset in Cornwall. The post notes that the project has secured a Contract for Difference in the U.K. Government’s Allocation Round 7, indicating contracted long-term revenue visibility once operational.

The LinkedIn post suggests that Higher Witheven is expected to generate over 46,000 MWh of electricity annually, which the company equates to powering more than 17,000 households and avoiding over 8,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year. For investors, this underlines Recurrent Energy’s ability to bring utility-scale projects from development through to sale, potentially supporting a capital-light growth model and recycling proceeds into its pipeline.

The post also characterizes the transaction as evidence of the strength of Recurrent Energy’s development platform and its ongoing delivery of “high-quality” renewable projects. Strategically, the successful CfD award may enhance the company’s positioning in the U.K. solar market, where regulated price support mechanisms can improve bankability, attract institutional buyers, and potentially support valuation multiples across its broader portfolio.
