Reality Defender has entered a strategic partnership with legal engineering firm Law & Forensics to embed its deepfake and AI-generated media detection technology directly into legal workflows, aiming to protect courts, law firms, and corporate legal departments from synthetic media–driven fraud. The integration brings Reality Defender’s RealScan web application and RealAPI into routine legal processes, enabling attorneys to verify the authenticity of client communications, witness testimony, and digital evidence in real time while preserving evidentiary standards. CEO and Co-Founder Ben Colman framed the move as a response to increasingly sophisticated deepfake attacks that threaten case integrity and facilitate fraud in litigation, depositions, and high-stakes negotiations.
Law & Forensics, which provides digital forensics and cybersecurity expertise to courts, corporations, and regulators across the U.S. and internationally, will pair its forensic and expert-witness capabilities with Reality Defender’s multi-model detection platform to support matters involving cyber, privacy, and evidentiary disputes. By targeting a sector where authentication requirements are stringent and the risk of AI-driven impersonation and fabricated evidence is rising, the partnership positions Reality Defender to deepen its footprint in legal and compliance use cases and potentially expand recurring enterprise revenue streams from law firms and institutional clients. The joint solution is available immediately to interested firms and law offices, marking a commercial deployment opportunity for Reality Defender as synthetic media becomes more accessible and poses systemic risks to legal proceedings and related corporate investigations.
