The same post describes work with Cisco in New York City, where Qunnect reports achieving entanglement swapping over 17.6 kilometers of Manhattan city fiber, which it characterizes as nearly 10,000 times beyond previous benchmarks. In Albuquerque, the company points to the launch of ABQ-Net, described as the first open-access quantum networking facility in the U.S., linking downtown to the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies near Sandia National Laboratories.

The post also notes that Qunnect executives Mehdi Namazi and Mael Flament appeared at MWC Barcelona with Deutsche Telekom to discuss the future of quantum networks, suggesting growing industry visibility and alignment with major telecom stakeholders. For investors, these activities may indicate progress in validating Qunnect’s technology on existing carrier and metropolitan fiber, potentially strengthening its position in emerging quantum communication markets and improving prospects for future commercial partnerships and infrastructure-driven revenue opportunities.
