QuEra Computing, a leader in neutral-atom quantum computers, has partnered with Dell Technologies to advance high-performance computing (HPC) by integrating quantum processing units (QPUs) into traditional data center architectures. This collaboration highlights a significant milestone in hybrid quantum-classical computing (HQCC), demonstrating the seamless integration of quantum and classical resources. The initiative will be showcased at Supercomputing 2025 (SC25), where a video demonstration will illustrate the co-location of classical and quantum resources, setting a benchmark for secure, low-latency HPC-ready HQCC.
The demonstration, hosted at QuEra’s Boston facilities, features a Dell-based HPC mini-cluster with PowerEdge servers, NVIDIA GPUs, and Dell’s Quantum Intelligent Orchestrator (QIO), working alongside QuEra’s systems. This setup allows for rapid experimentation and showcases the practical integration of quantum resources into existing HPC environments. QuEra’s Chief Commercial Officer, Yuval Boger, emphasized that this collaboration signals the practicality of HQCC, with QuEra’s unique neutral-atom capabilities such as qubit shuttling and parallel gates ready for integration. The demonstration will simulate the generation of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states, showcasing QuEra’s advanced quantum architecture. This partnership with Dell Technologies marks a transformative step toward solving complex challenges by combining AI and hybrid computing, offering a clear pathway for HPC centers, hyperscalers, and enterprise innovators to integrate quantum computing into their strategies.
