Qloud Games has shared an update. The company has raised a US$5 million seed round led by BITKRAFT Ventures and GFR Fund, with participation from a16z Speedrun, 1Up Ventures, and Gaingels. Founded three years ago, Qloud Games is developing Loftia, an online “third space” platform focused on immersive, community-driven experiences. The team has grown to around 30 employees and is currently running Alpha playtests with its community as it progresses toward an Early Access launch.

For investors, the successful seed round adds to Qloud Games’ financial runway and validates market interest from well-known gaming and technology-focused venture capital firms. The involvement of multiple specialized investors signals confidence in the company’s potential to carve out a niche in the online social and gaming space. The funds should support continued product development, scaling of the Loftia platform, and team expansion ahead of Early Access, which could position Qloud Games to compete in the broader market for virtual social experiences. Execution risk remains tied to user adoption, retention, and monetization outcomes once Loftia becomes more widely available, but the new capital and investor backing enhance the company’s ability to pursue growth in this segment.
