Pudu Robotics has introduced the PUDU BG1 Series, a large AI-native scrubber-dryer platform that expands its commercial cleaning line and positions the company for deeper penetration into large-format facilities such as warehouses, retail complexes, industrial plants, and transport hubs. By shifting from traditional automated routines to an AI-centric architecture covering perception, decision-making, and execution, Pudu aims to deliver higher utilization, lower operating costs, and a more scalable value proposition for enterprise customers.
The BG1 Series completes Pudu’s cleaning matrix alongside the compact CC1 and mid-sized MT1, enabling one-stop autonomous cleaning coverage across ten key industries and strengthening Pudu’s role as a full-scenario provider rather than a single-product vendor. Built on a dual-chip, high-compute platform with 3D VSLAM and LiDAR, the robots support millisecond-level reactions, AI-driven spot cleaning, auto-dosing of chemicals, and adaptive brush pressure, features that are designed to reduce labor dependency, consumables waste, and manual follow-up work in complex, high-traffic environments.
Strategically, the BG1 leverages millions of operating hours accumulated from earlier models, representing a generational upgrade in Pudu’s core cleaning technology and reinforcing its “One Brain, Multiple Embodiments” AI architecture across form factors. The system’s integrated sweeper-scrubber module, extendable edge-cleaning brush, and tool-free one-minute maintenance are intended to drive higher fleet uptime and lower total cost of ownership, which could support premium pricing and stickier, multi-site deployments.
For large facilities, the stowable ride-on mode and enhanced human-machine interaction allow faster mapping, emergency intervention, and safer operation in public spaces, while the all-in-one docking station enables unmanned 24/7 operation via automated charging, water exchange, and self-cleaning. The BG1 will debut globally at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta and Interclean Amsterdam, signaling an aggressive go-to-market push toward logistics, industrial, and commercial real estate customers as Pudu seeks to build on shipments of more than 120,000 units across over 80 countries and deepen its footprint in service and industrial robotics.
