project44 has acquired LunaPath.ai in an all-cash deal, advancing its strategy to move from predictive visibility to automated logistics execution across its Decision Intelligence Platform. By embedding LunaPath’s AI-native execution agents into its supply chain data graph, project44 aims to eliminate repetitive freight tasks and convert real-time insights into coordinated actions, including carrier calls, proof-of-delivery collection, claims initiation, and appointment confirmations.
The transaction marks project44’s second major AI acquisition after ClearMetal in 2021 and reinforces a multi-vendor AI Agent Orchestration model that integrates specialized providers such as Vooma and HappyRobot under a single orchestration layer. Executives say the combination of LunaPath’s agents with project44’s large, real-time logistics data graph will give customers more reliable, context-aware automation, enabling proactive exception management, lower operating costs per load, and faster issue resolution, while maintaining centralized governance and analytics for large shippers managing complex global carrier networks.
