Powerus, the autonomous systems platform operating as Autonomous Power Corporation, has appointed Rear Admiral (Ret.) Milton “Jamie” Sands III to its Advisory Board, reinforcing its push to scale drone and autonomous defense solutions across the U.S. military and allied markets. Sands, a former senior leader across naval warfare, joint special operations, and strategic command, will advise Powerus on how autonomous systems are deployed, procured, and integrated in modern conflict, and will serve as a senior voice on defense and national security issues in the company’s public engagement.

The appointment comes as Powerus advances a previously announced merger with Aureus Greenway Holdings Inc., a deal that would see Powerus become the surviving entity and the combined company renamed Powerus Corporation and listed on Nasdaq under the ticker PUSA, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals and effectiveness of an S-4 registration statement. The boards and a majority of stockholders of both companies have approved the transaction, which is targeted to close in summer 2026, but remains exposed to customary risks including potential regulatory delays, higher-than-expected transaction costs, integration challenges, customer and partner reactions, and broader political, market, and legal uncertainties that could affect Powerus’s strategy to consolidate domestically manufactured autonomous systems for defense, critical infrastructure, and precision agriculture.
