Pivot Energy has secured key regulatory approval and a long-term offtake agreement for a 10.4 MWdc off-site net metering solar project in Weld County, Colorado, positioning the company for incremental, contracted revenue growth and deeper penetration of the industrial customer segment. The Weld County Planning Commission has cleared three co-located solar arrays in Greeley that Pivot will develop, own, and operate under a 20-year power arrangement with CoorsTek, with commercial operations targeted for summer 2027 following a construction start in the second half of 2026. Once online, the arrays are expected to generate about 20 million kWh annually, supplying roughly 40% of the electricity needs for six CoorsTek facilities in Colorado and providing Pivot with long-duration, utility-like cash flow backed by an established industrial counterparty.

Under the off-site net metering structure, Pivot will deliver energy into the grid while CoorsTek receives bill credits and retains 100% of the associated renewable energy credits, enabling the client to meet emissions and renewable energy targets without upfront capital or operating costs, and underscoring Pivot’s ability to structure low-friction clean energy solutions for large customers. Pivot emphasized the local economic and community benefits of the project, which will use American-made solar panels and support Colorado’s broader energy transition, highlighting the company’s alignment with domestic manufacturing and state policy priorities. The deal reinforces Pivot’s position as a Denver-based independent power producer capable of originating, financing, and operating mid-scale solar assets for corporate clients, and illustrates a replicable model for future off-site solar partnerships with industrial and commercial customers across the U.S.
