Perplexity Launches Enterprise Workflow Platform With Slack and Premium Data Integrations

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Perplexity, the company is introducing “Computer for Enterprise,” a workflow engine that runs multi-step tasks across research, coding, design, and deployment. The post indicates that Computer routes activities across 20 specialized models and integrates with more than 400 applications, suggesting a push to deepen its role as an orchestration layer for AI-powered work.

The company’s LinkedIn post highlights that Computer is also being embedded into Slack, initially tested internally as a Slack integration to support collaboration on shared tasks. This move could expand Perplexity’s presence inside enterprise communication hubs, potentially driving user engagement and stickiness by meeting customers in their existing workflows.

According to the post, Computer now offers access to market research widely used by Fortune 500 companies, venture capital firms, and researchers. Premium data sources such as CB Insights, PitchBook, and Statista are described as available directly within cited answers, which may enhance the perceived value of Perplexity’s platform for investment, strategy, and competitive-intelligence use cases.

The post suggests that Computer can be personalized for organizations, allowing users to build and share custom skills, connect to hundreds of apps and tools, or integrate their own MCP. This level of extensibility could position Perplexity as a more adaptable enterprise solution, potentially improving its competitiveness against other AI research and automation platforms.

Perplexity’s LinkedIn update also notes that Computer inherits existing Enterprise settings around data retention, audit logs, and permissions, while emphasizing that customer data is not used for model training. Such assurances may help address common enterprise concerns around security and compliance, which are often key decision factors in AI procurement and could support adoption in regulated sectors.

As shared in the post, Computer is now live for all Enterprise subscribers, effectively turning the launch into an immediate upsell opportunity for Perplexity’s existing customer base. If the integration with Slack and access to premium research data resonate with large organizations, this offering could support higher contract values, increased user penetration within clients, and a stronger competitive position in the enterprise AI productivity market.
