PayNearMe has appointed Niall Hayes as Chief Development Officer and EVP of Engineering, putting a seasoned high-volume platform leader in charge of scaling its payments infrastructure and accelerating AI-driven innovation across its PayXM payment experience platform. Hayes will oversee software development, infrastructure, data, security, and enterprise implementations, guiding the evolution of a system that already processes more than $50 billion in payments annually.
The hire follows PayNearMe’s strongest year on record, marked by growth in revenue, client additions, partner expansion, and ongoing platform innovation as enterprises adopt Payment Experience Management to simplify non-commerce payments and reduce operational complexity. CEO Danny Shader said Hayes’ background building and scaling global messaging and communications platforms will be central to advancing AI and performance within PayXM, while Hayes cited the company’s momentum and the opportunity to shape this emerging category as key reasons for joining, after senior roles at Twilio, Pantheon, and major gaming companies.
