Paren Inc Highlights Growth and Maturation in Canada’s Fast EV Charging Market

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Paren Inc, the company has published its first State of the Canadian Fast EV Charging Industry Report for Q4 2025, drawing on real-time data covering more than 95% of DC fast-charging ports in Canada and the U.S. The post highlights a 28% year-over-year increase in Canadian DC fast-charging ports in 2025, bringing the total to 8,804, with deployment concentrated in British Columbia, Quebec, and Ontario and growing corridor coverage in the Prairies and Atlantic Canada.

The LinkedIn post also notes that utilization rose from Q3 to Q4, suggesting that new capacity is being absorbed and that several large metro areas may be approaching capacity constraints. At the same time, lower sessions-per-port in smaller provinces are characterized as more reflective of geography-driven corridor buildout than weak underlying demand.

Pricing data in the post points to a national average of $0.42 per kWh in Q4, with provincial averages ranging from below $0.40 to $0.65 per kWh, underscoring regional variability in charging economics. Reliability metrics are described as strong nationwide, with scores above 90 in most provinces and only modest pressure emerging in higher-demand markets as utilization increases.

For investors, the post suggests that Canada’s fast-charging market is moving from early-stage deployment toward a more mature, scaled infrastructure environment in which demand is largely keeping pace with supply. This dynamic could indicate growing revenue opportunities for ecosystem participants, while Paren’s data-driven reporting and webinars featuring its CTO and CEO may strengthen its positioning as an analytics and insights provider within the North American EV charging value chain.
