Outbuild Launches Project Intelligence Platform to Redefine Construction Scheduling

Outbuild is repositioning its construction scheduling product as a broader Project Intelligence platform that uses the project schedule as the central data brain for planning, field execution, and leadership visibility. Rather than treating schedules as static plans, Outbuild is building an intelligence layer that connects live field data, executive oversight, and existing systems so contractors can act on real-time project conditions.

At the core of this shift is a more connected scheduling environment that links the jobsite directly to the plan through the new Outbuild Mobile App. Field teams can update progress, document site conditions, log manpower, add photos, and create roadblocks from the app, with all inputs syncing into the lookahead schedule to create a continuous feedback loop between planning and execution.

The platform introduces Roadblocks as a structured way to capture and resolve issues like missing permits, incomplete predecessor work, or design conflicts, attaching each problem to the specific tasks it affects. A centralized Roadblocks Log gives project leaders better visibility into bottlenecks and accountability for clearing them, reducing schedule slippage and improving throughput across active jobs.

Outbuild is also embedding intelligence directly into the schedule via an AI Assistant that allows users to query project data in natural language. Teams can instantly identify critical path activities, upcoming work, or trades impacted by delays without manual data mining, enabling faster decisions and earlier risk detection based on years of scheduling expertise and real project data.

The AI Assistant, along with a new Executive Dashboard, is being rolled out under a Pro tier aimed at contractors that require deeper schedule control across portfolios. The Executive Dashboard gives leadership real-time insight into delays, risks, milestones, and progress across all projects, reducing reliance on manual status reports and supporting more efficient resource allocation and intervention.

Additional features such as Schedule Impact Request and Project Timeline View convert field disruptions into structured schedule intelligence and portfolio-level insights. Schedule Impact Request standardizes how delays from weather, materials, or coordination issues are captured, reviewed, and incorporated, while Project Timeline View allows companies to see overlaps and constraints across multiple projects to inform strategic planning.

By consolidating these capabilities, Outbuild Pro is positioned as an operating system for managing every schedule across a contractor’s business.
