ŌURA Expands Hormonal Health Features With New Birth Control and Menopause Tools

According to a recent LinkedIn post from ŌURA, the company plans a significant expansion of its women’s hormonal health offerings in the Oura App, scheduled to roll out globally on May 6. The post highlights new Hormonal Birth Control support that tailors Cycle Insights for more than 20 types of hormonal contraception, including pills, patches, IUDs, and implants.

The post indicates that users will be able to see how contraception influences temperature, sleep, recovery, bleeding, and symptoms over time, potentially deepening engagement among female members. In the U.S., ŌURA is also partnering with Twentyeight Health, which the post suggests could connect app-based insights to same-day, insurance-enabled care from licensed clinicians and broaden the company’s role within connected care ecosystems.

According to the LinkedIn post, ŌURA is also introducing Menopause Insights, including a proprietary, clinically validated Menopause Impact Scale designed to measure menopause’s effect on quality of life. Members are expected to receive personalized dashboards that link subjective symptoms to biometrics and generate shareable results to support more informed clinician conversations.

The post positions these additions alongside existing features such as Cycle Insights, Fertile Window, Pregnancy Insights, and a custom women’s health model, as part of building an “adaptive companion” for all hormonal life stages. For investors, this emphasis on women’s health and clinical integration may support user growth, higher retention among a key demographic, and expanded opportunities for partnerships in digital health and telemedicine over time.
