Origis Energy has brought its 210 MWdc / 150 MWac Wheatland Solar project in Knox County, Indiana, into commercial operation as of February 27, 2026, marking a significant expansion of its U.S. utility-scale portfolio. The project operates under a 20-year power purchase agreement with CenterPoint Energy, locking in long-term revenue visibility for Origis and providing CenterPoint’s Indiana territory with contracted, fixed-cost solar generation that supports grid reliability and resiliency.

Origis structured Wheatland Solar using a mix of tax equity and debt, including a tax equity commitment from J.P. Morgan and portfolio financing with MUFG, signaling strong lender and investor confidence in the company’s development and execution capabilities. Management highlighted that delivering Wheatland on time and to specification underscores the maturity of Origis’ platform across project development, construction, and long-term operations, while the project’s construction phase generated roughly 360 local jobs in Knox County, reinforcing the company’s role as a regional economic contributor alongside its strategic growth in renewable infrastructure.
