Onodrim Industries has raised €40 million in seed financing to accelerate its ambition to become a central pillar of Europe’s defence and industrial technology infrastructure. The Amsterdam‑based company plans to use the capital to speed product development, scale manufacturing, and build out research and development sites across Europe, positioning itself to capture a share of the region’s expanding defence budgets.

The round, led by Founders Fund, Lakestar, and General Catalyst alongside European and U.S. investors, underscores confidence that Onodrim can help rebuild Europe’s defence core amid rising geopolitical risk. Led by CEO and co‑founder Aistis Šimaitis and CTO and co‑founder Alexander Blessing, both with prior leadership roles at Palantir, Onodrim is targeting mission‑critical capabilities such as defence manufacturing, multi‑domain sensing, and networked systems to support border security, supply‑chain resilience, and interoperability for European and allied forces.

Management positions the company as a long‑term enabler of Europe’s security and industrial resilience, citing nearly €800 billion in anticipated defence spending by 2030 as a once‑in‑a‑generation market opportunity. Onodrim’s strategy focuses on designing defence‑specific hardware, software, and industrial capacity from first principles, aiming to give European governments greater control over their own “resilience stack” rather than relying on external suppliers.

Investors describe Onodrim as part of a new generation of European defence innovators expected to become a key partner to ministries of defence and prime contractors. For executives and stakeholders, the funding round materially strengthens Onodrim’s balance sheet at an early stage, enabling accelerated hiring of high‑end engineering talent and rapid scaling of platform capabilities that could underpin future multi‑year defence programs and industrial partnerships across the continent.
