Nominal has secured a sole-source, multi-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract from the Air Force Test Center with a ceiling value of $53 million, formalizing its Small Business Innovation Research Phase III transition after successful Phase II work with the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School. The award makes Nominal’s test data platform a streamlined acquisition option across the Air Force and broader Department of Defense, enabling multiple task orders and rapid cross-service deployment of its software.
Under the Air Force Test Center’s Next-Gen Data Ecosystem initiative, Nominal’s platform is positioned as a standard software layer to unify and make interoperable test data from wind tunnels, weapons ranges, and flight test environments, replacing fragmented legacy processes. Building on a 2023 Phase I effort and an April 2024 Phase II that automated complex flight test data reviews, the company is now extending its footprint into Navy programs through a separate Phase III contract supporting the MQ-25 Stingray, signaling broader adoption potential and a path to recurring defense revenue as services seek faster anomaly detection, lower re-test rates, and accelerated capability delivery.
