NEURA Robotics Partners With TUM on Large-Scale Humanoid Robotics Research Hub

According to a recent LinkedIn post from NEURA Robotics, the company is collaborating with the Technical University of Munich’s TUM and the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence to establish the TUM RoboGym, described as Europe’s largest research and training center for scientific robotics. The post indicates that a large fleet of humanoid robots will be developed and trained there for deployment in everyday environments, with an emphasis on combining academic AI research and real-world robotic systems.

The company’s LinkedIn post suggests that the RoboGym will initially focus on generating high-quality real-world training data by having humans directly train robots, addressing a key limitation in embodied robotics compared with internet-scale language datasets. Over the longer term, the facility is expected to open to industry partners and start-ups, potentially positioning NEURA Robotics at the center of an open ecosystem for physical AI and expanding its influence in humanoid robotics research and commercialization.
