Neolix Technologies has joined the Autoware Foundation as a Premium Member, leveraging its position as one of the few players in the ecosystem with large-scale, commercially deployed autonomous driving solutions. Headquartered in Beijing, the company operates more than 15,000 autonomous delivery vehicles worldwide, claiming the world’s largest commercial RoboVan fleet and using this operating base to validate both its technology and its service-led business model. In 2025, Neolix began commercial deployment of L4 mapless autonomous driving technology and introduced a RoboVan-as-a-Service model that converts capital-intensive fleet ownership into a flexible service offering, aimed at lowering customer capex, shortening deployment cycles, and accelerating adoption in urban logistics.

Neolix plans to use its Autoware Premium Membership and participation in the Low-Speed Autonomy Working Group to influence deployment-ready standards and bridge open-source autonomy with full commercial operations. Its mapless system integrates advanced perception and AI decision-making to deliver centimeter-level positioning and real-time response without relying on HD maps, which the company says cuts deployment cost and complexity, particularly in dense, dynamic urban environments and adverse weather conditions. The model has been stress-tested in Qingdao, where Neolix runs more than 1,200 vehicles in what it describes as the world’s densest autonomous fleet, coordinated via cloud-based dispatch and real-time data loops. Internationally, Neolix secured public-road approval for fully unmanned RoboVans in the UAE in October 2025, establishing a regulatory beachhead in the Middle East. Executive President Will Zhao positions the Autoware partnership as central to Neolix’s open-innovation and global expansion strategy, with the company targeting more than 10,000 overseas deliveries by the end of 2027 as it scales its technology and RaaS model through local partners worldwide.
