Myrias Optics has raised a $2.1 million Seed 1 round led by MassVentures, bringing its total capital to $6.9 million when combined with a prior $3.3 million seed round and a $1.5 million NSF Direct-to-Phase II award. The funding will accelerate commercialization of the company’s all-inorganic additive nanoimprint platform and expand production capacity for wafer-level metaoptics and AR waveguides across augmented reality, AI data centers, consumer, industrial, and medical markets.

The company is investing the new capital in manufacturing scale-up, pilot line expansion, and execution of active programs with strategic partners and Tier 1 supply chain players integrating its waveguide and metaoptic components into next-generation AR, AI photonics, and advanced imaging systems. Management positions Myrias as an enabling infrastructure supplier, arguing that its thermally stable, all-inorganic optics offer higher performance, better environmental robustness, and lower unit cost than traditional polymer-based and conventional semiconductor processes, a combination aimed at removing a key bottleneck in the scaling of advanced optical devices.
