Empath Health has completed the integration of Trustbridge, forming Empath Trustbridge Hospice, now the largest non-profit hospice network in Florida. The combined organization connects about 1,400 colleagues and 565 volunteers, serving roughly 11,000 patients and families annually and covering around one in five hospice patients in the state.

This consolidation is intended to expand access to specialized dementia care, grief support, and broader “Full Life Care” services in Palm Beach and Broward counties. The increased scale, larger referral base, and stronger brand visibility may support operational efficiencies, steadier patient volumes, and improved bargaining leverage with payers and partners.

mPATH Health also spotlighted Empath’s network of 12 non-profit resale stores, with a 13th planned, which rely heavily on volunteers and serve as a low-cost channel for community outreach and incremental funding. These locations support bereavement and social connection for volunteers while enhancing local brand affinity and volunteer retention.

The company highlighted workforce investments, including the hiring of a hospice social worker at Tidewell Hospice and broader recruitment efforts at the close of Social Work Month. mPATH Health further showcased veteran-focused Tidewell Honors programming, emphasizing pinning ceremonies that recognize patients’ military service and support veteran-centered care.

Collectively, the week’s updates depict mPATH Health’s ecosystem as deepening community ties, expanding scaled non-profit hospice operations, and reinforcing specialized programs for dementia, grief, and veterans. These developments suggest a stronger platform for mPATH Health’s engagement solutions and a more resilient market position in Florida’s hospice and palliative care landscape.
