Mobius Materials has launched the Mobius E-Auction Marketplace, a two-week, transaction-focused auction platform designed to help OEMs and contract manufacturers liquidate surplus electronic components more quickly and at market-driven prices. Centered on price discovery and execution speed, the new offering enables vetted sellers to receive competitive bids directly from qualified buyers, review offers with data-backed pricing visuals, and accept or negotiate outcomes within defined timelines, addressing a long-standing working capital and waste problem tied to idle inventory. Founder and CEO Margaret Upshur emphasized that persistent demand volatility and shifting production plans have made traditional resale options—opaque brokerage channels and slow fixed-price listings—too slow and difficult to justify, whereas Mobius aims to convert existing demand into faster, more transparent outcomes.

The launch builds on notable marketplace traction: Mobius currently supports more than 400 active listings per day and has handled over 4,000 listings in the past year, representing more than $30 million of inventory from hundreds of enterprise manufacturing users. The company connects these sellers to a global buyer network exceeding 2 million across its sales channels, and the E-Auction format is positioned to improve liquidity, shorten sales cycles, and provide clearer lot-level valuation via aggregated bid views. Mobius operates exclusively with vetted OEMs and contract manufacturers, inspecting and authenticating every order through its hubs to ensure quality, traceability, and compliance, which also reduces reliance on gray-market alternatives. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Virginia with operations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, Mobius is using this new marketplace capability to strengthen its role as an infrastructure player in the secondary electronics market, helping manufacturers free working capital, reduce waste, and enhance supply-chain resilience globally.
