Lucid Bots has closed a $20 million Series B round co-led by Cubit Capital and Idea Fund Partners, lifting total funding to $34 million as demand accelerates for its industrial cleaning robots. The Charlotte, N.C.-based company designs and manufactures its Sherpa cleaning drones and Lavo robots in the U.S., targeting hazardous, labor-intensive work such as window cleaning with a performance-first model that is already reflected in customer P&L impact.
The company plans to deploy the new capital primarily into hiring and manufacturing capacity to address a backlog of demo requests and growing order volume, after taking roughly five years to move from 100 units sold to a trajectory approaching 1,000 systems in the field. Lucid Bots feeds operational data from deployed robots back into its software stack to improve performance and is actively extending its platform beyond cleaning into adjacent tasks such as painting, waterproofing, sealing, and other maintenance functions across aging and increasingly complex infrastructure.
