LightPath Technologies has secured a $9.6 million purchase order from an existing defense customer for its cooled infrared cameras, reinforcing its position in defense and security imaging markets and providing clear revenue visibility through calendar 2026. The order, described by management as a significant repeat award, is expected to support deployments in all-weather surveillance and security missions where performance, reliability, and ease of use are critical.
Production for this contract will be shared between LightPath’s Florida and New Hampshire facilities, highlighting the company’s expanded domestic manufacturing footprint following its G5 acquisition and aligning with defense customers’ emphasis on secure, U.S.-based supply chains. Chief Executive Officer Sam Rubin noted that the scale and repeat nature of the order validate both the quality of LightPath’s cooled infrared camera systems and the strategic rationale of G5, whose revenue base is supported by multi‑year contracts and programs of record in shipboard long‑range surveillance, border security, and counter‑UAS systems, as well as recurring federal, naval, and law‑enforcement demand.
