Liftoff has strengthened its governance and scaling capabilities by appointing former J.D. Power President and CEO Dave Habiger and former Apple Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer Elizabeth “Betsy” Rafael to its board of directors. The additions signal Liftoff’s preparation for a new phase of growth for its AI-driven Cortex platform, which powers performance marketing and monetization across the global mobile app economy.

Habiger brings a track record of leading technology companies such as Textura, NDS and Sonic Solutions through rapid expansion and strategic exits, experience directly relevant to Liftoff’s potential M&A or public-market ambitions. Rafael adds more than three decades of financial and operational discipline, including deep experience in corporate governance, M&A and IPO readiness from senior finance roles at Apple, Cisco and other technology companies.

Both directors emphasize Liftoff’s execution focus and its differentiated use of AI through Cortex as a core driver of mobile performance marketing, suggesting increased strategic emphasis on data-driven scaling and operational rigor. They join an existing board that includes CEO Jeremy Bondy as well as senior investment leaders from Blackstone and General Atlantic, plus former Meta advertising executive Rob Goldman, giving Liftoff a board heavily weighted toward technology, advertising and private equity expertise.

For executives and investors, the expanded board composition points to Liftoff positioning itself for larger-scale growth under heightened financial scrutiny—potentially including more aggressive acquisition activity, deeper institutional oversight and eventual capital markets options. The company, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Redwood City, California, continues to focus on profitable user acquisition and ad monetization for gaming, consumer and emerging app categories, aiming to leverage its upgraded board to accelerate platform expansion and global reach.
