Lassen Peak has raised more than $10 million in a combined debt and equity financing round to complete development and launch of its handheld concealed-weapons detection radar, giving the Seattle-area startup runway to move from engineering to market entry. The round is led by growth-focused venture and private credit firm Structural Capital through a venture debt facility, supplemented by follow-on capital from existing shareholders and several venture investors, including AI Capital Partners, Lauder Partners, LionCrest Ventures, Madrona Ventures, Octave Ventures, and strategic backers such as Axon Enterprises. The company plans to use the funding to finish its charter product and support initial commercialization in law enforcement, military, and private security markets, positioning its system as an alternative to physical pat-downs that carry operational, legal, and reputational risks for agencies and venue operators.

Lassen Peak is developing what it describes as the world’s first fully integrated, handheld submillimeter-wave Terahertz imaging radar system designed to detect concealed weapons in the field without direct physical contact, targeting one of the highest-risk moments in public safety interactions. CEO and Chairman Hatch Graham said the financing from Structural Capital and existing investors is structured to support the company through product completion and early deployment, with the broader mission of reducing use-of-force incidents and increasing trust and safety in public-safety encounters. Structural Capital’s co-founder Kai Tse characterized Lassen Peak as having the potential to define a new product category across global law enforcement, defense, and private-sector security markets. The company has assembled a leadership and advisory group with senior experience across major U.S. law enforcement, civil rights, and government organizations, bolstering its go-to-market and policy positioning as it prepares to introduce its weapons-detection technology to customers and stakeholders who face rising scrutiny over search practices and force escalation.
