KuCoin Unveils Stock Index Perpetuals to Deepen 24/7 Cross-Asset Derivatives Access

New updates have been reported about KuCoin.

KuCoin has launched a new line of Stock Index Perpetual Contracts, positioning the exchange to capture growing demand for 24/7 equity-linked trading and cross-asset risk management. The first listings, Tesla Index Perpetual (TSLAUSDT) and MicroStrategy Index Perpetual (MSTRUSDT), extend KuCoin’s derivatives infrastructure and support its Trust-First strategy by integrating institutional-style pricing, session-aware mark prices, and EMA-based smoothing to reduce dislocations around equity market open and close.

For KuCoin, the product is a strategic move to bridge traditional finance and crypto, allowing eligible users to trade equity-linked exposure continuously with micro-contract sizes from 1 USDT, potentially broadening its global derivatives user base. CEO BC Wong framed the launch as part of building next-generation financial infrastructure focused on reliable pricing, continuous access, and disciplined risk controls, with KuCoin planning further refinements to pricing models, risk management, and liquidity mechanisms to stabilize markets and protect users.

The contracts are synthetic, stablecoin-settled derivatives that track public equity benchmarks without conferring share ownership, which simplifies settlement but underscores regulatory and risk considerations for certain jurisdictions. This expansion reinforces KuCoin’s positioning as a diversified crypto platform offering spot, futures, and wealth-management products to more than 40 million users, while leveraging its security certifications and growing regulatory footprint to attract institutional and sophisticated traders seeking always-on equity-linked exposure.

By addressing the liquidity gaps and liquidation risks tied to traditional market hours, KuCoin aims to make its platform a core venue for event-driven, cross-time-zone portfolio strategies. The move aligns with broader market trends toward real-time risk management and could enhance trading volumes, fee income, and user stickiness in KuCoin’s derivatives segment, while testing market appetite for synthetic equity indices traded entirely within a crypto-native environment.
