Koah has secured a $20.5 million Series A round led by Theory Ventures to expand its native monetization infrastructure for generative AI, bringing total funding to more than $26 million since its $5 million seed round in September 2025. As part of the deal, Theory Ventures founder Tomasz Tunguz, a former Google AdSense executive, will join Koah’s board, underscoring investor conviction that AI-native, contextual ads can become a core revenue stream for high-intent conversational applications.
Positioning itself as an “AdSense for AI,” Koah provides a lightweight SDK that embeds contextual advertising directly into AI chat and search experiences, enabling developers to monetize high-intent user queries without relying solely on subscriptions or intrusive ad formats. The company reports an ecosystem of over 2 million monthly active users who interact with conversational AI about three times per day, with more than 35 million native ad impressions served across 175 million queries, and cites adoption by AI apps such as Liner and Viro as evidence that users will accept AI-native ads when they are relevant and non-disruptive.
