Illumio, Inc. has expanded its strategic partnership with Armis to deliver integrated breach containment and cyber exposure management across converged information technology and operational technology estates. By combining the Illumio Platform—anchored by Illumio Insights for AI-driven cloud detection and response and Illumio Segmentation for Zero Trust containment—with the Armis Centrix exposure management platform, the companies aim to give enterprises earlier threat discovery, automated containment, and improved resilience for critical infrastructure.

For Illumio, the deal broadens its addressable market beyond traditional data center and cloud workloads into OT and industrial environments, where downtime and compromise carry safety and reliability risks. The integration is designed to create a unified Zero Trust architecture spanning IT, OT, and IoT, support regulatory and industry frameworks such as NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and NIST 800-82, and extend Illumio’s role from microsegmentation to native, intelligence-led containment using continuous asset and risk data from Armis.

The companies are also aligning go-to-market strategies, moving the relationship beyond technology integration to coordinated sales and marketing in order to streamline adoption for joint customers. This commercial collaboration positions Illumio to capture more complex, large-scale deployments where security buyers increasingly demand pre-integrated platforms for visibility, enforcement, and compliance.

Executives from both firms highlighted the operational and safety stakes in OT-heavy sectors, framing the partnership as a way for customers to act faster on real-time exposure insights and maintain uptime in essential systems. For Illumio, the global availability of the joint solution strengthens its competitive positioning in Zero Trust and ransomware containment, enhances partner-led routes to market, and supports cross-sell of the broader Illumio Platform into existing Armis accounts and vice versa.

The integration, now accessible to joint customers worldwide, underscores Illumio’s strategy of using its AI-powered security graph to enforce lateral movement controls wherever critical assets reside, from hybrid and multi cloud environments to industrial networks. If execution of the combined technology and go-to-market plans proceeds as outlined, Illumio stands to deepen its penetration in regulated and infrastructure-centric industries, improve deal size and stickiness through platform-led sales, and further entrench its brand around breach containment and Zero Trust resilience.
