IC Realtime has raised $2 million in a Series A funding round, anchored by a personal investment from John Hatherly, founder of Wynnchurch Capital, with existing investors also participating, to speed development of its unified software platform integrating video management, edge intelligence, and cloud analytics. As part of the deal, Hatherly will join IC Realtime’s board of directors, adding institutional-grade strategic oversight as the company nears its 20-year anniversary and leans further into software and artificial intelligence capabilities.

CEO Matt Sailor said the capital and board addition position IC Realtime to accelerate its transition from primarily hardware-based offerings to more intelligent, software-centric security solutions for residential, commercial, and enterprise customers across the U.S. and Canada. With an established distribution footprint, including national commercial channels and selective retail presence, and a portfolio spanning cameras, recorders, and software, the company aims to leverage its industry recognition and reputation in professional-grade surveillance to capture demand for AI-enabled platforms that unify video intelligence, analytics, and management at scale.
