Hyro has deepened its presence in the healthcare AI market through a new partnership with Overlake Medical Center & Clinics, where its agentic AI platform now automates high-volume patient access and contact center workflows. Overlake deployed Hyro’s voice and web-based AI agents to handle MyChart password resets that previously required roughly seven minutes and cost about $11.65 per call, with Hyro automating 51% of these interactions within four months and delivering immediate operational savings.
Hyro’s web agents are also driving digital self-service, with more than 90% of patients who open the agent engaging, and nearly 90% of those inquiries resolved directly using Overlake’s website and internal knowledge sources, materially reducing inbound demand on staff while improving information consistency. Framed as Overlake’s first major AI deployment, the rollout followed a phased strategy focused on low-risk, high-impact use cases that demonstrate measurable ROI and meet stringent standards for safety, reliability, and patient trust.
Hyro’s Co-Founder and COO, Rom Cohen, emphasized that the project illustrates a broader market pattern among leading health systems: implement AI against concrete operational problems, quantify results quickly, and then scale responsibly on a single platform. Based on early outcomes, Hyro and Overlake plan to extend automation into additional administrative workflows that directly influence access and revenue, including scheduling, rescheduling, provider matching, and visit instructions, areas that currently consume significant staff time and drive patient-friction.
For Hyro, the engagement serves as both a revenue opportunity and a reference case that validates its Responsible AI Agent Platform as a scalable infrastructure layer across call centers, websites, SMS, and mobile channels for large health systems. The Overlake implementation adds to a client roster that already includes Intermountain Health, Baptist Health, and Hackensack Meridian Health, reinforcing Hyro’s positioning in a healthcare market increasingly focused on AI-driven efficiency, cost containment, and patient experience at scale.
