Heven AeroTech has secured a Basic Ordering Agreement from the U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, creating a streamlined vehicle for Army units to procure its Z1 hydrogen-powered unmanned aerial system and associated hydrogen generation equipment. Effective January 2026 and enabled by the company’s Blue UAS Select qualification, the agreement positions Heven at the center of the Army’s efforts to rapidly field long-endurance, domestically sourced UAS capabilities.
The BOA is expected to reduce procurement friction, accelerate deployments, and support technology maturation, testing, integration, sustainment, and modernization of Heven’s systems across Army missions in line with the Administration’s executive order on strengthening U.S. drone dominance and the domestic industrial base. By offering extended endurance and reduced reliance on conventional fuel and battery logistics, the Z1 platform and its supporting hydrogen infrastructure give Heven a pathway to expanded defense revenues and deeper program participation, while reinforcing its role as a U.S.-based supplier of runway-independent, mission-critical UAS for defense and other high-demand applications.
