Heron Data has pushed beyond its traditional lender customer base by rolling out the Heron Broker Suite, extending its AI automation platform into the SMB credit broker market and aiming to eliminate the manual processes that slow deal throughput. The software covers the full broker workflow—from financial statement scrubbing and real-time lender matching to portal submission and CRM synchronization—allowing high-volume firms such as Big Think Capital and TFS Financial to shrink processing costs by up to 80%, respond to funder offers in under a minute, and repurpose staff toward revenue-producing tasks instead of data entry. The company says brokers can now handle 2–3 times more volume without hiring, thanks to instant parsing of decision emails and automatic updates across Salesforce, CloudSquare, LendSaaS, and other systems already embedded in their operations.
The expansion builds on Heron’s core infrastructure, which processes more than 500,000 financial files per week for over 150 funders and fintechs, and follows its $16.5 million Series A led by Insight Partners in 2025. CEO Johannes Jaeckle positions the Broker Suite as a competitive necessity for firms chasing faster approvals and lower overhead in a market where manual portal submissions and email triage can consume $10,000–$20,000 per month in offshore labor. Early adopters report measurable gains—Big Think Capital cut offer-to-rep response times by 98%, while TFS Financial automated 4,000 monthly decisions, freeing the equivalent of two full-time roles. By transplanting its underwriting automation stack to the broker side of the market, Heron expects to help intermediaries reclaim thousands of hours each year and turn responsiveness into a differentiator as SMB lending remains crowded and speed-sensitive.
