Harvey has broadened its legal AI platform by rolling out more than 500 pre-built legal agents and launching its Agent Builder tool in early access, positioning the company at the center of the shift from generic AI assistants to specialized legal agents. The pre-configured agents span major legal practice areas and common workflows, while Agent Builder enables law firms and in-house teams to convert their own knowledge, procedures, and templates into tailored agents built on Harvey’s infrastructure.

Management frames this as a strategic move to support both rapid deployment and deep customization, giving legal organizations a continuum from out-of-the-box use cases to highly bespoke, text-based agents. CEO Winston Weinberg said Harvey aims to let every legal organization “chart its own path” with agents, and the company reports that legal teams have already created more than 25,000 custom agents on its platform, with over 100,000 lawyers at 1,500 organizations now using Harvey. External validation comes from firms like Hengeler Mueller, which is investing heavily in custom agents to handle more sophisticated work, underscoring Harvey’s potential to drive efficiency by automating manual tasks and freeing lawyers for higher-value analysis. All agents run on Harvey’s secure environment, and the 500+ agents plus Agent Builder, now in early access as of May 5, will be rolled out to Harvey customers over the coming months, strengthening the company’s position as an operating system for legal and professional services.
