GS Microelectronics U.S. (GSME) has secured a $35 million Series B funding round led by Maverick Silicon to accelerate the expansion of its semiconductor services platform, with a focus on advanced packaging, AI-driven design enablement, and supply chain visibility. The capital will be deployed to scale 2.5D/3D and CoWoS-class packaging capabilities for AI, high-performance computing, and RF customers; deepen R&D and platform development; and support further strategic acquisitions and hiring, following a year marked by multiple bolt-on deals and integration of specialized engineering talent. GSME positions itself as an end-to-end solutions provider, combining chip design, turnkey manufacturing, and quality assurance with a data-rich supply chain intelligence layer aimed at reducing risk and compressing time-to-market for global customers.
Management describes this raise as a validation of its strategy to move beyond conventional design services into a more integrated, transparent semiconductor services ecosystem. A key initiative funded by the round is the launch of an AI “digital brain,” an agent-based platform intended to deliver real-time alerts, risk mitigation, yield optimization, and predictive modeling across the design-to-manufacturing lifecycle. GSME is also consolidating recently acquired firms, including Sinble and Muse, into a unified execution engine to enhance design, software, and engineering depth, with additional acquisitions reportedly in late-stage negotiations. With a headquarters in San Jose and operations spanning Taiwan, Vietnam, and Oman, the company aims to establish a new operational standard for AI-era semiconductor development by tightly coupling advisory services with technical execution and by providing greater visibility into complex, global supply chains for its enterprise customers and investors.
