The company positioned its technology as a way for banks, lenders and fintechs to cut costs and speed up complex, compliance-heavy processes.

A recent LinkedIn update detailed a new Disputes Agent aimed at automating end-to-end card dispute handling, a process that can currently demand 30-minute case reviews and up to 60 days of customer evidence collection. Gradient Labs says the AI system achieves about 98% accuracy in classification and decisioning while managing transaction reviews, claim types and customer conversations.

Human teams remain responsible for approving or overriding outcomes with a single action, indicating a hybrid model that keeps people in the loop for final decisions. For financial institutions, the pitch centers on reducing manual workload, labor costs and error rates, while accelerating dispute resolution and improving operational efficiency.

In parallel, Gradient Labs highlighted growing adoption of its AI agent among lenders across the U.K., U.S. and Europe that handle high-volume borrower interactions. The platform reportedly automates the borrower lifecycle, from application through servicing and collections, with an emphasis on maintaining regulatory adherence in each step.

Across its customer base, the company reports its AI is already handling more than 100,000 calls per month and matching human recovery rates on a one-to-one basis. This suggests that lenders may be able to scale outreach and reduce backlogs without sacrificing key recovery metrics, potentially strengthening resilience during periods of heightened credit stress.

Gradient Labs also continued to build its delivery organization, adding Eliza Upadhyaya to its AI Delivery Team in London. With experience in AI, enterprise SaaS and financial services, her hire reflects a strategy of deepening domain expertise to support complex enterprise implementations.

The company signaled further hiring with additional open roles, pointing to ongoing investment in scaling client delivery across multiple geographies. Overall, the week’s developments underscore Gradient Labs’ push to broaden its AI workflow automation footprint in financial services while reinforcing its capacity to onboard and support new clients at scale.
