G50 Corp Limited has reported successful metallurgical test work from its Golconda Project in Arizona, confirming it can generate a gallium-rich concentrate using established, relatively low-cost screening and flotation methods, which materially strengthens the project’s potential as a primary U.S. gallium supply source. Testing by SGS Lakefield on unoxidized drill core and reverse-circulation chips showed gallium grades rising by roughly 150% to 200%, with recoveries of up to 70% for gallium, 97% for silver and 82% for gold, supporting a flowsheet that could add precious-metal by-product credits to future project economics.
Chief executive Mark Wallace said the results support a staged, low-capital development path focused on early production of saleable gallium concentrate, and meaningfully de-risk the Golconda Project as a potential domestic supplier to U.S. defense and semiconductor supply chains. He noted these findings build on prior mineralogical work indicating that about 90% of Golconda’s gallium is contained in sericite, a type of muscovite distinct from the sulfide-hosted precious metals, a configuration considered favorable for concentrating and extracting gallium through conventional mineral processing, positioning G50’s flagship asset—located near existing mining infrastructure in the southwestern U.S.—as one of the few active U.S. projects targeting primary gallium production.
