Function Health Deepens AI Strategy With Perplexity Health Data Connector

New updates have been reported about Function Health.

Function Health is expanding its AI-driven health infrastructure by allowing members to link their lab results and clinician-reviewed summaries directly into Perplexity Health, positioning the company more firmly at the center of personalized, data-rich care. The new connector is designed to give hundreds of thousands of Function members seamless, secure access to their longitudinal health data inside an AI assistant, enhancing engagement and potentially increasing platform stickiness and lifetime value.

The integration, rolling out in the coming weeks, extends Function’s growing portfolio of AI connectors and creates what CEO and co-founder Jonathan Swerdlin calls an “intelligence layer” that turns fragmented health information into actionable answers. Members will be able to combine Function’s 160-plus lab tests and clinical interpretations with external health inputs such as activity data and medical records in one AI-accessible environment, reinforcing Function’s strategy to build the infrastructure for lifelong health and strengthening its differentiation in a crowded consumer diagnostics and preventive care market.
