Fresha, a global beauty and wellness software and marketplace platform, saw a week dominated by a major product launch and renewed emphasis on people strategy and culture. The company introduced Professional Profiles, shifting its marketplace discovery model from venue-centric to talent-centric by enabling consumers to search and book individual stylists, barbers, therapists and technicians.

The new profiles give professionals structured portfolios with services, real-time availability, reviews and qualifications, and are already live for hundreds of thousands of staff members. By integrating these profiles deeply into the booking flow and supporting flexible work via its Workspaces tool, Fresha is aiming to raise conversion, improve utilization and strengthen its marketplace moat, particularly for multi-location and franchise operators.
The feature is designed to enhance monetization on both sides of the marketplace by aligning with social, trust-based and creator-led consumer behavior, while adding structured data, integrated payments and operational tooling. This talent-led discovery model is expected to differentiate Fresha from venue-first rivals and support further expansion into flexible work and franchise management, although no financial metrics were disclosed for the launch.
Internally, Fresha highlighted a series of culture and HR initiatives that underscore its focus on scaling talent. Leadership participation in the April edition of HR Chief showcased a data-led HR strategy built around scalable hiring systems, AI-driven transformation and high-performance culture as a driver of business performance.
The company also spotlighted Talent Partner Katie Stock in its “Fresha Faces” series, pointing to active hiring across multiple teams and a growing emphasis on people and culture functions. While such investments may lift near-term operating expenses, they suggest Fresha is reinforcing the organizational infrastructure needed to sustain product innovation and international expansion.
Complementing these efforts, Fresha hosted its first “Fresha’s Got Talent” internal event, with global participation across in-person and virtual formats, to foster cohesion and engagement among distributed teams. Overall, the week’s developments indicate Fresha is simultaneously deepening its product-led competitive moat and building a scalable, culture-centric workforce to support its long-term growth trajectory in the beauty and wellness software market.
