Fresha is intensifying its North American expansion by appointing Scott O’Brien as General Manager for the region and tripling headcount in key U.S. and Canadian markets, including New York, Vancouver, Florida and California. With more than 30,000 beauty and self-care businesses already on its platform in North America and over 140,000 globally, Fresha aims to scale local operations, deepen marketplace penetration and position its integrated booking and payments software as the default choice in a fragmented regional tech landscape.
O’Brien, who previously led growth initiatives in payments and point-of-sale technology at Lightspeed Commerce across APAC and North America, is tasked with aligning local execution to Fresha’s global infrastructure to drive further gross merchandise value growth and marketplace adoption. CEO William Zeqiri said North America is now one of Fresha’s most important growth vectors, particularly among multi-location and enterprise operators seeking a single system for booking, embedded payments, reporting and AI-driven marketing, and the company expects that dedicated regional leadership and increased on-the-ground investment will accelerate client acquisition, marketplace-driven demand, and wallet share in one of the world’s most competitive beauty and wellness markets.
