Forge Nano is expanding its presence in Asia with a new engineering and service office in Taiwan, positioning the company as a core supplier of atomic layer deposition (ALD) equipment for AI-era silicon photonics and advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Anchoring this move, the company will formally introduce its Tephra ALDx platform to Taiwan’s photonics and chip ecosystem at an invitation-only technical seminar on March 31, 2026, focused on manufacturable processes that improve device performance, yield, and throughput.

To support high‑volume customers in Taiwan, Forge Nano is building a localized operating model that includes a dedicated engineering and field‑service team, a bonded warehouse for rapid spare‑parts access, and a regional service network through partner LeadinWay for on‑site support and preventive maintenance. In parallel, a joint development manufacturing partnership with Manz Taiwan will enable local tool assembly, subsystem localization, and scalable regional capacity, while supply chain localization across Taiwan and Asia is intended to shorten lead times and lower operational risk for semiconductor customers.

Forge Nano’s ALDx technology has already demonstrated up to a 23% reduction in insertion loss in silicon photonics devices, extended reliability with 240 hours of HAST performance where conventional films fail, and void‑free coatings in aspect ratios up to 35:1, metrics that directly address reliability and yield constraints in next‑generation co‑packaged optics for AI data centers. By tying these atomic‑scale process capabilities to a fully supported local infrastructure, the company aims to increase tool uptime, accelerate customer qualification cycles, lower total cost of ownership, and entrench itself as a strategic supplier to Taiwan’s leading foundries and packaging houses as AI, photonics, and advanced computing scale globally.
