Forever Feed Technologies has secured a $15 million contract with River Ranch Farms for the first commercial installation of its FFT FeedCenter and two full-scale FFT GrowSystems, marking a critical commercialization milestone after more than a year of pilot operations. Construction, set to begin next quarter in Hanford, Calif., will scale Forever Feed’s hydroponic ForeverFeed sprouted grain from pilot to daily, high-volume production for a major dairy operator.
The project is designed as a flagship reference site for Forever Feed, with the FeedCenter ultimately housing three GrowSystems capable of supplying fresh feed to more than 7,500 milking cows while using 95% less water than field-grown alfalfa and replacing 350–500 acres of cropland per system. Each GrowSystem can produce up to 50 tons per day of hydroponically sprouted wheat, barley, sorghum, or triticale, and pilot results at River Ranch have shown improved feed efficiency and higher milk output, strengthening the economic case for large dairies facing water, land, and climate constraints.
By integrating its patented IP and science-based growing protocols with industrial automation from JR Automation, Forever Feed is positioning its platform as a scalable infrastructure solution for commercial animal agriculture rather than a niche technology. The company’s Innovation Center, launched in late 2024, enabled refinement of automation and feed rations, helping validate reliability and unit economics ahead of this first commercial deployment.
For Forever Feed, the River Ranch project provides both near-term revenue and a high-visibility proof point to support broader market adoption among large dairy and livestock producers seeking resilience against weather volatility, drought, and supply-chain risk. Founded and funded by farmers and operating out of Hanford, Calif., and American Fork, Utah, the company is now moving from pilot validation into a growth phase in which additional FeedCenters and GrowSystems could drive recurring equipment, service, and data-driven optimization revenues, while reinforcing its strategic positioning in sustainable, resource-efficient feed production.
